Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer, you will be working on our Connected Vehicle Data Analytics and Telematics backend platform and applications. You will be part of an skilled cross functional team that is optimising existing systems as well as designing and developing new products and features.

Responsibilities

  • ✓Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • ✓Write effective APIs
  • ✓Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • ✓Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software

Requirements

  • ✓Master or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited university
  • ✓3+ years of relevant experience as defined below
  • ✓Design patterns in Java, Core Java 8, Spring Boot framework, Hibernate, Micro Service Architecture
  • ✓Knowledge of RDBMS (preferably MySQL, MongoDB)
  • ✓Knowledge of any front-end languages and frameworks (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, Angular) will be a plus
  • ✓Good verbal and written communication
  • ✓Excellent team player, attention to details and ability to follow through on deadlines
  • ✓Strive to continually improve, learn new skill-sets and work with an ownership mindse
